Several Facts About Robbie


Robbie Williams, born on the 13th of February 1974, is a British singer and songwriter originally part of the 90's boy band Take That, but is now a solo artist. He was born in Staffordshire, England to pub owners Janet and Peter Williams. 

Robbie Williams came to the music industry in the year 1990 as a part of a famous all-male pop group. He always had the "class clown" and prankster image, which made him very likeable amongst his fans. He performed most of the lead vocals and was considered a great asset to the band. As like most stars, fame came with a price. Robbie Williams had problems with drugs and alcohol, especially due to internal conflicts within the pop group. Post-recovery, Robbie Williams decided it was best to try his luck at a solo career.

Robbie Williams left his band in 1995, and became a highly successful solo artist. He is ranked as one of the top selling artists of all time, with record sales of over 60 million. In the United Kingdom, he is one of the highest ranked pop stars, with 6 albums among the United Kingdom's list of top grossing records. He was also inducted in to the United Kingdom Music Hall of Fame in 2004.

In the year 2010, Robbie Williams and former band Take That decided to regroup and release a new album. The group's reunion album garnered millions of sales and was highly successful.  

On a personal note, Robbie Williams has been in a relationship with actress Ayda Field since 2006. The couple happily married on August 7, 2010 in Los Angeles. When suffering from substance abuse in the past, Robbie Williams decided to get sober for the sake of Field, who was only his girlfriend then. The couple had their first child, a daughter, on September 18, 2012. They named the child Theodora Rose, and are currently raising her in Los Angeles as well.

A singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, Robbie Williams was first known as member of the British male vocal singing group Take That. At young age where lads of his year were still enjoying the wonders of teenage life, Robbie Williams was already raising to popularity along with his other four co-members in the band. It was around 1990 that young Williams first tasted the savor of fame when Take That hit its first successful run in the music industry. In 1995, Williams had gotten into several issues with his band mates and also within the same year he had disputes with the management of the band. The next turn of events favored even greater for Williams as his succeeding albums won him awards and millions of sales. He was ranked among the best-selling music artists worldwide for having sold over 70 millions of records round the globe. William was hailed as the best-selling solo artist in the UK and non-Latino artist who made it successfully in the Latin America. He has been given awards more than anyone – 17 BRIT awards and 7 ECHO awards. One of his single from the album “Beyond the Sea” was played in the movie Finding Nemo.

Robbie Williams made a name in the music industry.  He was given so many awards as recognition for his contributions in the industry. Almost all of his released albums became a success.  His latest album “Take the Crown” with the single “Candy”, became his first number one single in the United Kingdom.  Robbie Williams was reportedly to have a team up with Micheal Buble for the recording of their duet songs for the new album Swing. It was believed that the team up would be a success because both of them have a great passion in singing.

Robbie's cheeky, 'little boy lost' persona which he combines with an overt, yet often ambiguous, sexual charisma has made him irresistible to a number of female's (and males) from kindergarten to grave.

Robbie Williams always give an amazing performance. He always has the crowd up on their feet, singing along and clapping their hands.
